High-Speed Wireless Internet

In 2003, J&R Electronics started laying the groundwork to provide rural areas with high-speed Internet service via microwave, not satellite. We set up our first customer in 2004 and have grown our customer base to several hundred small business and residential customers as well as providing service to school districts, utilities and other commercial entities in the area.

We primarily use gear from Cambium Networks for delivery of our Internet service, which gives our customers the highest reliability and capacity available with low latency for better performance. Microwave Internet uses equipment similar in size and shape to a satellite dish, but because the fixed microwave is terrestrial-based and not a satellite in space, the speeds are faster and more stable.

J&R Electronics currently provides service in Coeur d' Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Spirit Lake, Blanchard, Athol, Harrison, Lewiston, Tammany, Clarkston, Rockford, and Liberty Lake. However, customers must have a clear line of site (no trees or mountains blocking the view) to one of our sites.
